Housed in a massive, open-air space, Opium Garden is a highly addictive nocturnal habit for those looking for a combination of sexy dance music, scantily clad dancers, celebrities such as J-Lo, Janet Jackson, Lenny Kravitz and Diddy, and, for the masochists out there, an oppressive door policy in which two sets of velvet ropes are set up to keep those deemed unworthy out of this see-and-be-sceney den of inequity. Opium has a sushi restaurant (decent) and an ultra VIP, celeb-saturated lounge, Privé, whose own separate door policy makes the aforementioned seem like a romp in the sand.
A gorgeous far eastern-styled outdoor venue, Opium Garden is one of Miami's longest running and most well known clubs. Featuring long white drapes, pagodas, buddhas, lanterns and an attractive crowd, Opium Garden is a feast for the eyes and a perfect location to party in the cooler winter months. Events range from DJ based parties to celebrity hosted gatherings, and like its sister club Prive, Opium requires groups to be well dressed and mixed in order to gain entry.
